Green Events
Maximillion is in a unique position to influence how sustainable and responsible an event can be.
Our sphere of influence extends up to the customer (if we are engaged directly) across to parallel suppliers (when also directly engaged by the customer), and down through our own supply chain. To help us run our events sustainably we have developed our own Environmental Management System (EMS) called GEM or Greener Event Management. We have also developed our own Carbon Calculator.
Greener Event Management
Our aim is to deliver more corporate events more environmentally sustainably and socially responsibly but understand that a "one size fits all" approach will not work. Some customers mandate sustainability while others are disinterested with most customers falling somewhere in between. So Maximillion have developed GEM, The Greener Event Management.
Carbon Calculator
We tried to find an events based carbon calculator "off the shelf" but there were none which fitted our needs, so we built our own. Developed by a Business Environmental Partnership placement from the University of Barcelona, our calculator has been validated by the Edinburgh Centre of Carbon Management. We hope to have an on line version in the future.
