The story so far...
"We've come a long way since starting out in 1989, operating out of the spare bedroom of a fourth floor flat with event kit stacked up on every available bit of floor space...."
With no idea of how to run a business, a naïve enthusiasm more than compensated for any lack of acumen. In those early days we made lots of mistakes and had one or two successes, but it has always been great fun and hugely rewarding.
1989 John & Jamie set out in business trading as The Survival Game
1990 HQ moves from city centry flat to a country side cottage
1991 Survived recession!
1992 Start offering team building activities
1993 Set up branch of UK Bungee Club. We dispatch over 5000 jumpers over the next two years
1994 Evict goats, convert old stables into offices and move out of cottage
1995 UK Bungee Club sold
1996 Corporate multi activity days developed, our first website launched
1997 Survival Game sold
1998 Kirknewton Stables opens, and Maximillion adopts as home base
1999 Maximillion becomes Investor in People. Extend offices into adjoining sheds, Maximillenium Christmas parties launched
2000 Second web site launched, winning our first award
2001 We create new products for the great indoors. A big change!
2002 John goes to the Disney Institute and comes back with big ideas. New "vivid faces" brand and brochure launched
2003 Third web site launched
2004 Conference & Incentives division launched
2005 Learning & Development division launched
2006 50% growth in one year, exceed 10% net profit for first time
2007 London office opens, Maximillion turns green
2008 We move to our new home in Newbridge
