Jim Paterson

Profile 

Jim has extensive experience of working with individuals and groups in diverse situations within the public, private and voluntary sectors.  This has given him a practical and grounded understanding of individuals, an adaptable approach and the ability to relate and communicate effectively with people.

Jim gets a real buzz from work as he enjoys the interactions and the dynamics that working with people offers. He gets a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction from seeing people grow and develop. His most rewarding job was when he managed the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, many who are now leading and modernising our health services today.       

Qualifications and Continuous Professional Development 

  • Graduate of Strathclyde University with an MSc in Human Resources. 
  • Qualified to Level B in the use of Psychometrics and accredited by Oxford Psychologist Press and Saville & Holdsworth in the use of a range of assessment and development psychometric tools.  
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and work in the voluntary sector where work as a therapeutic counsellor.
  • Currently studying to be a psychotherapist in Transactional Analysis, and bring this knowledge and expertise to my professional and development work  

Favourite Maximillion Event 

Delivering a workshop for a group of 18 corporate, international Senior Managers in the beautiful town of Lucern, Switzerland.  Personally Jim felt the event was stimulating and challenging due to the diverse nature and cultures of the participants and the group were great fun. Follow this link for the case study
