Maximillion regains team trophy after 3-year absence
It's official!
Maximillion is the team to beat having once again taken delivery of the small business mixed team trophy from October's BUPA Great Edinburgh 10K Run.
The winning team, including stalwarts Sarah, Shoena, John and Sandy, braved dreadful conditions on the day to help reclaim the same trophy that we won back in 2007, making that a 100% 'entry to win' ratio!
Buoyed by the pre-run disco-stretch led by the Great Run resident warm-up maestro Roy Gayle, our waste-bag waterproofs were (responsibly) binned and we all headed off into the dreich, unhelpful October weather. Notwithstanding, there were clean pairs of heels all round, with the high points of the event including a great route taking in both old and new towns, a supportive crowd turn-out that also included our South Tyrolean interns Silvia and Katrin, entertainment stands and music podiums en route to help with the motivation and of course the final full-tilt descent down Cannongate to a finishing line flourish at Holyrood Park - oh, and what we believe could have been a PB for John!
Here's to next year and another winning team performance...
