Chivas Brothers

Whisky and premium gin company Chivas Brothers chose Maximillion to once again organise its corporate away day following successful events delivered by us in previous years (8 altogether!). Maximillion was asked for ideas for two team building activities; a shorter, indoor activity to tie in with the company's morning strategy meeting, and a full afternoon of outdoor challenges which would make the most of the venue's grounds. The event was for 100 Chivas employees from the company's Finance, IT and Legal teams.

Event Detail

• Duration: Full day
• Venue:  Mar Hall, Bishopton
• Format: A bespoke Eco-Fashion activity in morning and Checkpoint Challenge in afternoon with a catwalk finale to include. All activities were overseen by a professional compeer
• Guests: 100 staff from Finance, IT and Legal teams, divided into smaller teams of 6 - 8

Outline

A company strategy meeting took place in the morning, which included an 'eco-fashion' team activity. Teams' fashion knowledge was first put to the test in a themed quiz where points were exchanged for recycled materials, which were used to create unusual outfits with an environmental twist. Outfits also had to include Chivas branding. Following lunch, guests took part in Checkpoint Challenge, which involved a treasure hunt around Mar Hall. Teams navigated from one checkpoint to another, where they completed activities such as an inflatable assault course, gladiator joust, archery and human table football. A creative "Generation Game" style activity saw teams attempting to recreate their company logo on cakes using decorating materials. The event concluded with a catwalk finale where each team could show off their fabulous eco outfits!
