Lloyds TSB Wholesale Banking
Lloyds TSB called upon the expertise of Maximillion to design the launch of a Corporate Relationship Managers Talent Management Strategy programme. The programme aims to improve retention, improve performance and build business knowledge and personal development within their community. Lloyds approached Maximillion to design and facilitate the launch event of the club with an evening in which a mix off business focus was balanced alongside relevant and stimulating team-based activities.
Objectives
- Aim to gain a better understanding of "Club members" roles and responsibilities, generate energy and enthusiasm for the Programme and gain an understanding of next steps in the Programme
- Stimulate networking, cross-functional team work, collaboration, knowledge sharing and a greater awareness of change through positive interaction. Providing opportunities for "Club members" to play to each other's strengths and creating workplace associations
- Build relationships in a fun non-threatening environment and provide a memorable and rewarding experience to all participants
Event Detail

- Guests: 45 participants comprising the Corporate Banking Directors and senior managers responsible for running the Scotland wholesale network, plus representation from HR Business Partners

Outline
- Creating a context for the "club" was vitally important to ensuring that the Talent Management Strategy Programme took the desired direction from the start.
- This began with a facilitated discussion called ‘Footsteps to the Future', which employed creative visioning cartooning techniques.
- This helped "club members" start the process of creating an identity for their group and setting the agenda for the programme which was wholly relevant to their future challenges and operational and business realities.
- The group then built on the outputs and outcomes of the creative visioning workshop in a whole group challenge called Kinetic Connections.
- "Club members" had the opportunity to continue networking and building relationships, playing to each other's strengths and contributing to the achievement of a shared group outcome.
- Kinetic Connections was ideal for addressing team communication skills, knowledge sharing, resource allocation and exploring team roles, cross-team working and dynamics.
Outcome
The key outcome for all was an appreciation of the strengths of the group, the power of networking and need to create and reinforce a group ‘identity. Through the team development activities offered, they were also actively encouraged to be involved in co-creating the subsequent year long programme of events. Maximillion also provided branding support in the form of a logo for the group and is currently advising on future component parts of the programme.
Feedback
Feedback collated from the clients online survey was 100% delighted for all aspects of the event. Initial expectations were "exceeded"
"Nicky and her team were great"
