Sony Ericsson - Incentive Trip
Sony Ericsson is a joint venture established in 2001 by the Japanese consume electronics company Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to make mobile phones. Through a PR Agency, the company approached Maximillion to design a weekend in Glasgow to promote their latest walkman phone, which incorporated an MP3 player, and video and "shake" features. The PR Agency provided the marketing materials, while Maximillion organised the activities, venues, transfers, additional ground handling and goody bags.
Objectives
- To promote the phone to a discerning audience
- Creative and funky environment
-
Beautiful Scottish venues and imaginative activities
Event Detail
Venue: Various venues in and around Glasgow
Format: Bespoke Incentive programme
Guests: 22
Outline
For the Glasgow City Centre Taxi Tour, the group was divided into teams and issued with a phone with a running commentary (written by the PR Agency) on the venues and points of interest on route, as well as instructions on clues to collect, photos to take and videos to record (designed by Maximillion). The group then transferred to little known Duntreath Castle where they were welcomed by the owner, enjoyed a Scottish lunch and then took part in motorised and field activities on top of a hill with fabulous views. The day concluded with afternoon tea and prize giving.
