Event detail
Date: January 2009
Venue: Sliema and St Julian's, Malta
Format: Bourne themed Espionage event to tie in with a 3-day conference
Guests: 36 senior managers from UK, Poland, Hungary, Africa
Outline
The afternoon kicked off with the mission brief presented in a short film recorded the previous week by one of the company's senior managers. The participants were issued with bespoke, Bourne themed T-shirts and divided into "spy cells" before starting their mission with a casino style challenge at the hotel. In Sliema, the spy cells followed a contact schedule and met agents at quirky locations around the town. The agents set cryptic clues which had to be solved in return for key information. In addition, teams made use of technology by:
- Receiving time-bound clues by text message
- Uploading information onto social networking sites
- Using the internet
- Using an especially created website
Scores were announced and prizes presented the following day, and the group was treated to a slide show of images taken by the event photographer.
