Introduction

Leica Biosystems approached Maximillion to support a scientific symposium for key European clients. The "Advanced Staining Seminar" targeted specific pathologists from within Europe and was designed to improve customer understanding of the latest developments, technologies and products that Leica Biosystems has to offer.

With guests travelling from France, Benelux, Spain, Greece, Germany and Austria to attend the seminar, Leica Biosystems was keen to enhance the experience with an overnight incentive event.

Objectives

• Demonstrate and showcase a new scientific instrument to key clients and distributers
• Share scientific knowledge
• Make clients' time in the UK special and memorable
• Spend time strengthening client relationships in a relaxed environment 
• Have fun taking part in a shared experience

Challenges

The key challenge was to find a high-end, 4* hotel within easy reach of Newcastle and which offered a unique guest experience in a cosy, country house atmosphere. The Roxburghe Hotel in Kelso provided the ideal solution as it offered the perfect size, location and ambience for the group.
