Peebles, located in the Borders region of Scotland yet only 23 miles south of its capital, Edinburgh, is a thriving and attractive market town. A Royal Burgh since 1152, Peebles straddles the majestic River Tweed, and the picturesque town centre offers winding alleyways and mediaeval "closes".
