How it works

Using the materials provided, the whole group has to build a giant hand-held ‘railway’ track circuit which will transport multiple footballs around the event space. The whole group must coordinate the track movements Mexican Wave-style to propel the balls around the circuit. To start with, teams must design and build track sections. They then get together, joining track sections with other teams to test and then compete with each other. To conclude, all teams come together to form a giant whole group track. With the full track now built, the group must coordinate the track movements to propel the balls around the circuit without ‘derailing’ any of them.

Who it’s for

Mexican Railway is for you if you’d like a group energiser to warm up your team at the start of your corporate event, or to bring together teams in a resounding whole group finale. It makes a great energiser or ice-breaker at any point in your conference or meeting agenda, and works well to emphasise the importance of individual, team and group effort.
