Quartermile is a prestigious property development in the centre of Edinburgh with the conversion of Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary Hospital at its heart.  The stunning architecture is led by Norman Foster and provides a mix of residential, commercial and retail.  Each year, Quartermile host and event on site for where existing and potential commercial tenants attend.  This year, Quartermile engaged Maximillion to design and deliver a sporting tournament. Maximillion proposed Carpet Curling.

Challenge Summary

The Lister Square on Quartermile was used with one end laid out with ten Carpet Curling lanes and the other end arranged with bar, BBQ and tables and chairs.  Over 50 teams of four participated and a knockout tournament was devised.  Olympic silver medallist David Murdoch attended and provided some light hearted tips to teams as they progressed.  The event was complemented with our Chief Umpire, DJ Host, Music and of course, awards, medals and trophy ceremony.
