We love to provide the opportunity for people to grow their skills and knowledge within the events industry. That is why we are delighted to welcome them into the Maximillion family.

To start off the new year, we would like to introduce our three new interns: Sophie McCallum, Beth Watson and Eugénie Prost!

To get to know them a little better we posed them a few quick but quirky questions. Continue reading to learn their answers.

Firstly, we have Sophie:

Sophie has joined the Maximillion company for an internship taking place alongside her studies in Festival and Event management at Edinburgh Napier University.

Having been with us for a few weeks now, what is your favourite aspect of the role?

“I enjoy getting involved with Wildgoose and doing research for corporate events”

If given the chance, which fictional or non-fictional person would you like to be for a day and why?

“Victoria Beckam because she is a successful business woman with great style!”

What has been your most enjoyable experience?

“Best thing I’ve done was travel Thailand for a month on my own! Met so many amazing people and had some wonderful experiences”

Would you rather be able to fly or be invisible?

“Fly! So I could travel the world for free”

Would you rather attend school in Hogwarts or live in Narnia?

“Hogwarts definitely! Big Harry Potter fan!”

Next up we have Beth:

Just like Sophie, Beth studies Festival and Event management at Edinburgh Napier University and joined the team for an internship.

If given the chance, which fictional or non-fictional person would you like to be for a day and why?

“I would love to be David Bowie, he was such a creative and inspirational person and made such a big impact in the music industry.”

Would you rather be able to fly or be invisible?

“Fly! 100%, I would go on holiday all the time for much cheaper.”

Would you rather attend school in Hogwarts or live in Narnia?

“Hogwarts! It’s way cooler!”

What has been your most enjoyable experience?

When I did a skydive for Dementia UK in 2014. Jumping from 12,000 was terrifying but amazing! Would definitely do it again.”

Tell us about a time you got yourself into trouble as a child.

“I would never get into trouble… I was a very sneaky child, I would always do something bad and blame it on my brother so he got into trouble and I didn’t”

And last but definitely not least, we have Eugénie:

Eugénie comes from France and has joined the team for an internship as part of her studies in Foreign Languages at the University of Lyon 2.

If given the chance, which fictional or non-fictional person would you like to be for a day and why?

“Sherlock Holmes, so I could work along with the police and solve dark and complicated criminal cases”

Would you rather be able to fly or be invisible?

“Fly of course, the journey from one place to another wouldn’t be boring anymore.”

Would you rather attend school in Hogwarts or live in Narnia?

“Live in Narnia, it would be a whole new world to explore!”

If you we’re to write an autobiography, what would the title be?

“Everything Happened For A Reason”

What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten?

“So far… Haggis in Scotland. Where I come from we eat snails but this is not weird, it’s delicious!”
