Product Focus: Pole Position

February 8, 2018 : News, General Team Building

Pedal power rules in this low octane – high adrenaline Grand Prix classic! Pole Position challenges teams over a three stage process where teams must design and construct their very own F1 super kart before racing in a series of qualifiers and finishing with the grand finale. The event will conclude with podium results, constructor’s prize and of course, champagne! This is your very own Grand Prix which will appeal to all, be it the budding engineer, the artistic creative or the aspirational racing driver.

Overview of the Event

Construction, speed and hilarity in this fun based, exciting and competitive event hosted by Le Stige, Luxembourg’s infamous race kart driver.

Design and Construction: Armed with an arsenal of materials and products, teams must design, create and construct the fastest and most aesthetically pleasing F1 super kart the world has ever seen. Each team will be provided with their very own pit ‘garage’ where they will find their materials, basic kart and briefing instructions.

This phase will be overseen by our event team who will be on hand to inject creative flair and passion into the karts.

Once the karts have been designed, each team should nominate a spokesperson who must pitch their kart and ‘company’ to the room in order to pick up sponsorship ahead of the racing stage of the event.

Qualifiers: Following grid walk interviews, teams will compete in a series of qualifying races on the completely bespoke track in order to score enough points to race their way in to the final. Complete with comical commentary, background ‘high adrenaline’ music, enforced pit stops and mechanical breakdowns; this is an event that ticks many boxes!

Grand Finale: The number of finals is completely dependent on the number of teams entering the event. For example, we could run 3 finals for 6 teams; The Wooden Spoon Championship, The Construction Championship and the F1 Championship. The finale’s bring a high energy, loud and exciting end to the event with the F1 Champions taking top position on our podium where they will be presented with medals and of course, a bottle of Champagne.
