Glasgow Science Centre

Maximillion were approached by Glasgow Science Centre, who were looking for a way to bring staff from different departments together to enjoy a fun, engaging and business relevant team building activity. A bespoke version of our Wildgoose Scotland Street Olympics game, which was customised for the purposes of the event and its objectives, was the perfect solution.

Event Details:

Objectives:

The brief was to create a fun, engaging and memorable outdoor event which staff from different departments could take part in together. The objectives included getting to know one another, identifying what different staff members did at the Science Centre, learning about the new, expanded food and beverage facilities and encouraging an increased awareness of services within the local area.

What we did:

Using our Wildgoose Scotland technology we placed hotspots around key areas of Pacific Quay including the BBC building, SSE Hydro and the SECC. These hotspots were based on our Street Olympics game and featured a variety of fun, engaging challenges with photo and video tasks all with a sporting twist!

We placed bespoke hotspots in the same area with challenges and questions relating to the new facilities within the Science Centre. We could report on how successful participants had been at answering these questions which provided a great insight into what communication needed to be reviewed.

The app was branded to reflect the colours and logos of the new catering area within the Science Centre.

Who took part:

35 new and existing staff from the Catering and Corporate Events Team

What they said:

“The night was an outstanding success and definitely ticked all the business objectives I had hoped to achieve in terms of the whole team bonding and coming together of a range of roles and people across the organisation.”
