Glen Turner Starlaw Distillery visit

Glen Turner approached Maximillion to event manage a visit for the company’s Senior Managers and Owners to its Starlaw Distillery. The Distillery is truly unique in the sense that it is the only Distillery where whisky is produced from cereal to cased good on the same site.

Event details:

  • Date: 28th September 2016
  • Where: Starlaw Distillery
  • Format: Site visit to include lunch and tour of the distillery
  • Guests: 100

Objectives:

The aim of the event was to showcase Starlaw Distillery to all the guests and provide them with an educational, informative and engaging afternoon on site.

What we did:

We transformed one of the warehouses normally used to store 25000 barrels of whisky into an event space suitable for guests to:

  • relax and network with colleagues
  • enjoy lunch & refreshments throughout the day
  • become familiar with Glen Turner’s operating procedures and products via an exhibition area and company infographics
  • learn about the art of cask making from Glen Turner’s very own cooper

We also worked with key members of the Glen Turner team to fine tune a tour which would run throughout the afternoon across different aspects of the distillery process and the 75 acre site, whilst at the same time ensure that the distillery was still fully operational.

Who took part:

100 guests were invited to the event ranging from Senior Management and Owners in addition to the Glen Turner team on the day.

What they said:

“Just wanted to let you know how pleased I was with our event on Wednesday. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we achieved the objective of showcasing our operation to our colleagues.

Right from the first telephone discussion I was impressed by your professionalism and attention to detail. As the event grew closer I was able to add extreme flexibility to your list of attributes as you coped with our changing demands”.
