Facilitated Kinetic Connections

Finding order in chaos...If this is a familiar issue for your organisation, read on.

Kinetic Connections is a unique team development experience that provides you with a ‘silo-busting' approach to cross-team working, as well as a platform to explore how teams manage complex projects within conflicting priorities.

Kinetic Connections is ideal for any group to explore people and project management skills, cross-team communication & collaboration and gaining insights into leadership and how individuals play to each other's strengths. With Kinetic Connections your teams can explore those issues which ensure success in the sometimes chaotic, unstable and ever-changing business environment. With little information and no initial direction, only the combined efforts of every individual member of the group will achieve success on schedule; this is not competitive and needs co-operation and collaboration!

How it works

Kinetic Connections is an integrated whole group activity and a unique development event - the ideal task for exploring people and project management skills, cross-team communication and gaining insights into leadership, cross-team working and group dynamics. In stage one, teams will have their own giant kinetic model to assemble by interpreting a variety of clues, solving a number of problems and working to complex diagrams, whilst collaborating and negotiating with other teams for components, resources and expertise. In stage two, teams join forces, aligning and connecting their models to form a single working mechanical piece. When triggered, a fantastic chain reaction automatically unfolds climaxing in an audio-visual spectacle.

What Lloyds TSB Scotland wanted

Maximillion was approached to design and facilitate the launch event of the Lloyds TSB Corporate Relationship Manager's "Club", which invited a specially selected high potential group of 40 Relationship Managers across all grades and a broad spectrum of jobs in Corporate. The intention of the event was to launch a wider Talent Management Strategy programme for this community, the aims of which were to improve retention, improve performance, build business knowledge and personal development. In terms of the scope, the event was a balanced mix of business focus alongside relevant and stimulating team-based activities.

What they said

"100% delighted with: pre-event contact and contracting, pre-event project management, operations team input, facilitation team, event team, activities selected."
