Creative Visioning
Lessons from the Past - Footsteps to the Future
This half day to one day workshop will creatively and practically explore the demands on a team - past, present and future - in a dynamic, engaging and non-threatening way.
Footsteps to the Future addresses one key issue for many teams and organizations; that it is the baggage from the past which is often most prominent in people's minds which prevents them from moving forward in an integrated and unified way. Often they distort the background picture of many actions, planning and conversations being carried out in a spirit of co-operation. This session is aimed at capturing the extent to which team members recognise the continual change process they have experienced over the recent past and their success at adapting their behaviour to remain effective throughout the process of change. They can then move to an anticipation of future organisational change and an acceptance of the corresponding professional change this will necessitate.
To maximise the impact of the workshop, thoughts, ideas and actions are pictorially represented in metaphor format by the group, supported by our corporate artist who works in tandem with the lead facilitator. Using metaphors can be an effective & non-threatening way to describe and bring to life ideas, intentions, feelings and thoughts. They also provide a safe medium to diffuse and articulate sensitive or contentious issues without the recourse to finger pointing or apportioning blame.
