BELBIN© Team Roles

Maximising understanding of team role preferences.

Introducing

Maximillion - accredited BELBIN centreSelf Perception Inventory (SPI) & Observer team role profiling (360°) is used as a behavioural diagnostic tool to profile an individual's team role preferences, through workplace behaviours, as well as the collective team picture. Maximillion is an accredited BELBIN Team Role centre - we provide full BELBIN Profiling Services and allied workshops to help your team identify individual team role preferences and use the knowledge and learning gained to maximise team effectiveness.

There are a number of BELBIN programme formats available depending on group size, duration and budget.

For example, our two day BELBIN programme - Team Jigsaw - combines the intensive insight into BELBIN Team Roles outlined below with a practical session in a restaurant kitchen under the expert guidance of a professional chef to bring the learning to life!

What NFU Mutual Direct wanted

Maximillion were approached by Glasgow-based NFU Mutual Direct to design a weekend of team development, including BELBIN Team Role Profiling (SPI & Observer), Team Effectiveness Inventory and stretching indoor and outdoor activities for the senior management team. In terms of rationale we were briefed to keep the team fully occupied and engaged throughout the whole weekend - a "morning - noon and - night" approach - including evening activities, as well as time for personal and team reflection. The key requirement was to bring the group together under a shared agenda and a set of common goals to encourage and develop leadership, communication, collaboration, creative thinking, problem solving and personal influencing skills. In addition, the team should enjoy a fun shared experience that would allow team members to get to build relationships and play to each other's strengths.

What they said

"The weekend exceeded my expectations." "All my objectives were met and I was very satisfied that the key learning outcomes were reached."  "Mike Tierney (Lead Facilitator) was fantastic."

Head of NFU Mutual Direct
