The River Seine

seine river2833Since the Middle Ages, the Parisian people have embellished the Seine river banks; as a result it is one of the most beautiful urban landscapes in the world. The Seine is lined with old quays and crossed by many bridges. You will forever remember a Seine dinner cruise as you then combine a French dinner with the spectacular illuminations of Paris at night.

Centre Pompidou

pompidou01The primary colours, exposed pipes and air ducts make this one of the best-known sights in Paris. The then-unknown Italo-British architectural duo of Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers won the competition with their 'inside-out' boilerhouse approach, which put airconditioning, pipes, lifts and the escalators on the outside, leaving an adaptable space within. The Centre Pompidou holds the largest collection of modern art in Europe.
