How it works?
Once teams have decided on a target audience / occasion, they must work together to create a brand name and flavour of the chocolate. Target audiences / occasions could include Valentine’s Day, birthdays, company anniversaries, Easter, Christmas, children or ‘golden-agers’. The team should allocate themselves different roles whereby they have a project leader, a creative team, a tasting team, marketing team and a filming team. Step one is making the chocolates, so imagine the finger-licking fun colleagues will have in this creative process. Once the completed chocolate creations are cooling in the fridge, teams will be asked to create product packaging and a 30 second commercial using video cameras, props & resources and some creative flair. Upon completion of this fun based challenge, each team must then take to the floor and present their brand to our panel of judges, including the revered confectionery magnate Sir Alan Sucre.
Who’s it for?
Chocolate challenge is an excellent activity if your team is looking for collaboration and creativity with some sweet treats thrown in. Create your own brand, pitch and best of all eat the yummy chocolates at the end!
Aside from the obvious benefits of this challenge – eating chocolate – this deliciously fun activity not only enables your team to express their creative side, but also gets teams thinking about the processes involved in a product’s route to market, from initial concept to incorporating the perspectives of marketing and sales.
