What is GDPR?
In a nutshell, as of Friday 25th May 2018 the ‘General Data Protection Regulation’ (GDPR) is a new legislation which aims to protect consumers personal data from being wrongfully used and stored without explicit consent from the individual. This includes, but is not limited to; what is stored, how this is stored, who has access and how this information is then used. The new regulation also gives consumers the option to access their data at any time as well as update or request removal.
How are Maximillion complying with this new law?
Maximillion will only store information that is relevant and up-to-date from those who have actively engaged with our business (i.e. booked an event with us before or expressed an interest in our services). This includes; name, email address and organisation as a minimum. We will also store business contact number and address, if these have been provided by you. Additionally, we promise not to share your details with any other organisation. We have already given our existing subscription list the option to re-subscribe via email and plan to schedule a further two opt-in opportunity emails to those who have not responded before the regulation deadline.
