Conferences Made Easy

Need some inspiration to add more pzazz to your 2020 conference or company meeting? Would you prefer for your delegates to go away buzzing rather than thinking they’ve just had more of the “same old same old”? Here are just a few tips on how to spice up your events and offer your staff a memorable experience which creates a talking point for weeks (even months!) afterwards.

Venue
A quirky or inspiring venue can go a long way to capture the interest of your conference delegates. The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester’s state-of-the-art international concert venue, is an architecturally-stunning building. The home of The Hallé Orchestra it offers a unique set of event spaces, such as the Barbirolli Room. If you prefer a historic setting, Dundas Castle provides spectacular exclusive use surroundings for a conference, guided tours of the castle and a wide range of outdoor activities can be arranged to enhance the day. You could also add a science experience to your conference at the Glasgow Science Centre, or even get your teams to ‘scrum down’ over your business topics at Twickenham Stoop!

Activities
If you’re bringing together staff from across the UK or overseas in a multi-day conference, a team building activity such as one of Maximillion’s GPS-enabled, location-based explorer challenges offers the opportunity to get to know one another better while also seeing more of the destination. If your agenda only allows time for a shorter energiser, then something like Team Top Trumps and Boomwhackers are sure to break the ice and put smiles on faces.

Speaker
A motivational speaker can add enormous value to an event. Incredible, emotive personal experiences can be very effective in highlighting key conference or business messages such as leadership, teamwork, coping with change and goal setting. Such stories can provide a huge boost for staff and inspire them to be the very best they can be. Read motivational speaker and Maximillion friend Jamie Andrew’s previous blog on the value of external speakers here .

Gala DinnerAward Dinners, Corporate Events, Event Management
Give your delegates the chance to dress up and get to know one another over dinner. This could also be the perfect opportunity to present any awards or make informal company updates or announcements. The evening could be themed  and include entertainers or an interactive activity such as our Amalgameation Game Show, Casino Night or Race Night.
