Sun and fun at Turnberry Adventures

November 24, 2015 : News

Maximillion were delighted to be involved in two fam trips based at Trump Turnberry Hotel in September 2015. The two day trip provided the perfect opportunity to explore the local area and enjoy some activities on our on-site centre Turnberry Adventures.

In case some of you didn’t already know, working in the events industry is not all office work stuck behind a desk! Sometimes we have to visit the hotels and venues we promote, and try our hand at all the exciting activities we suggest to you. These two Turnberry fam trips provided juNewsst that opportunity as Maximillion was invited to entertain a selection of agents, including Andrew Burnet, Cashel Travel, Wedgewood, Kuoni and Grassroots amongst others, with an afternoon of outdoor activities at Turnberry Adventures. Guests stayed at Trump Turnberry Resort, but also had a packed schedule of visits to other local venues including castles and stately homes, ensuring they left with a good idea of what the whole local area could offer potential client groups.

Guests arrived early Friday morning to be greeted with some hot coffee and tastyturnberry photo 2 pastries before setting out for the morning activity – pitch and putt on the newly renovated Turnberry Green! Teams were decided and scores were awarded for the most skilful teams. Following a quick lunch with a view in the Clubhouse, it was then time to move onto the really exciting stuff – activities at Maximillion’s Turnberry Adventures. For this stage teams rotated around a variety of outdoor activities including; Archery, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Quad Biking. Scores were again awarded, and added to the golfing scores before the wining team was revealed!

After all of the activities, we were all in need of a good meal, and were not disappointed to find out we would be treated to a 6 course tasting menu at the chef’s table in the Trump Turnberry kitchen that evening. Delicious! However, this was not before we enjoyed pre-dinner drinks at the fabulous Blairquhan Castle, only a short drive from Turnberry.

The rest of the weekend was a bit more relaxed as we visited some lovely local venues including, Cloncaird Castle, Culzean Castle and the nearby A. D. Rattray Whisky Experience, making sure we stopped off for a tasty lunch at Souter’s Inn.

Overall, the two day trip was a great opportunity to give guests a flavour of the activities on offer at Turnberry Adventures, and to get a sneak peek of the coming hotel renovations. The trips also provided the perfect opportunity to showcase some of the unique venues in the region where Maximillion can offer a range of indoor and outdoor activities.

Read what Andrew Burnet, one of the event’s participants, had to say about things:

“I get invited to many of these kinds of events, don’t often get toAndrew-Burnet-banner-sml attend. Really glad I did as this was a brilliant weekend. Wall to wall sunshine, a stunning 5 star resort and a really fun afternoon with Maximillion, reminding me what a great offering they have at Trump Turnberry, all delivered by a truly professional team”
