Our clients often ask us what other people are doing or if we have any unique or cool event enquiries on the go, which we always do. We thought we’d share some examples of the types of cool projects we are working on in 2024, which may inspire you to work with us on developing something unique for you.
Darts & Pub Games with a twist
A client wants to do something different with their evening entertainment to have fun and let their hair down a bit after a full day conference and awards ceremony.
• We are creating a darts tournament format with professional darts player and scorer to add some wow-factor to the evening. We are exploring bringing the likes of Luke Littler, Peter Wright or Michael van Gerwin.
• Like any good night at pub darts we are building in a host of other activities to include foosball, ping pong, golf and driving simulators in between the high jinx and raucous party vibe of a night at the darts!
Bespoke GPS Adventure
Our GPS activities remain super popular and we are working with a number of client groups on building a bespoke experience for them.
• Edinburgh to St Andrews – We are developing a full-day tour commencing in Edinburgh and finishing in St Andrews with a number of pitstops along the way in a scavenger hunt/historical tour of this region of Scotland.
• Corporate Social Responsibility – One of our Edinburgh based clients wants to re-jig our Edinburgh GPS to take their attendees on a tour of Edinburgh with a focus on a number of local social and charitable initiatives to align with their CSR programme.
• City Experiences – For both Glasgow and Edinburgh we have a project that involves building on our GPS City Adventure with very bespoke places in the city to stop and take part in another activity, like axe-throwing, darts, bowling, museums, food and drink stops or a trip to parliament. Essentially bringing their entire itinerary under the robust and watchful eye of Maximillion’s slick GPS format.
Incentives Showcasing Scotland
Maximillion love working with our trusted agents and DMCs bringing groups from all over the world, creating memorable experiences showcasing Scotland. We are currently working on a multi-day itinerary that includes:
• Hire of Venue – carefully sourced by Maximillion to suit the needs of the group. Self-catering, private and rustic Scottish Stables with gardens – a quiet, distraction-free venue perfect for outdoor teambuilding, indoor meetings and entertainment and BBQ Catering.
• Highland Games Experience – After business meetings finish, the distant sound of the pipes and drums and our clan chieftain lead the group outside to enjoy a competitive Highland Games experience.
• Catering & Whisky Tasting – After a few hours of fun, time to refuel with a traditional Scottish BBQ and enjoy a few wee drams guided by our whisky expert.
• Evening Entertainment – Inside, we will transform the venue for the evening. Complete with a checkered dancefloor and stage, a classic covers band will entertain and a bit of interactive Bandeoke – karaoke with your own live band!
• Other Support/Theming – Evening tables will be dressed with tartan and thistle centre pieces. Outdoor Flambeaux stands for some dramatic effect and rustic outdoor poseur tables. Scottish Gift Bags including some classic treats such as Vintage Irn Bru, Tablet, Shortbread and Soap all created by local suppliers.
• Transport & Further Activities – Finally, when the clock strikes 12, their carriage (coach) will return guests to their hotel for a well-earned rest. The next day it’s back to city hussle and bussle for a GPS Activity to explore the sights with some special stops along the way. (e.g The Fudge Kitchen, Edinburgh Castle Tour and lots of local pubs!)
• Project Management – Maximillion will have an on-site team ensuring seamless delivery from start to finish, managing the venue, catering, activities and entertainment meaning all our guests have to do, is enjoy their time in Scotland and wish they were staying for longer.
