The Computers and Communication division of Harvey Norman, Ireland organises an ambitious annual conference for staff, suppliers and HQ managers.
After the huge success of their 2010 conference in Edinburgh, Scotland organised by Maximillion, Harvey Norman wanted to continue to include team building activities whilst incorporating the scenic attractions of the selected location…Barcelona!

Objectives
The main aims of this event were to:
- Reward and thank Harvey Norman staff and suppliers after a year of hard work
- Start the New Year with a bang
- Build rapport between guests
- Communicate to guests in morning meetings
- Entertain and bond guests in fun team building activities
Maximillion was responsible for providing all aspects of this event including venue finding, ground handling, entertainment, team building activities, catering and evening entertainment . Maximillion worked closely with Harvey Norman to ensure the programme was fun and varied while still being business orientated and appealing to all guests.
Outline
The following elements were included:
- Welcome on arrival and transfers from airport to hotel
- 5* accommodation at ME Barcelona hotel
- All catering
- Morning meetings
- Speed networking
- Create & Paint team building event promoting “Working Together in 2011”
- Espionage activity around Barcelona City Centre ending at Ice Barcelona
- What’s Cooking? event incorporating Spanish cuisine
- Coach tour around Barcelona including a Tour of Camp Nou
- Evening meals at various restaurants including La Rambla and Port Olimpic Marina.
- Dinner and show at Palacio Del Flamenco

The event was attended by 63 staff, suppliers and headquarter’s managers.
