Institute for Chartered Accountants Scotland

ICAS’ Regulation and Compliance Department had not experienced team events or team building until recently. The need for a team event became apparent as the department consists of staff who work from home and spend a lot of time on the road, giving them little opportunity to meet. The team wanted to consider new and fun ideas for an away day.

Chocolate Heaven

The ICAS team became chocolatiers for the day! The workshop started with an informative overview on chocolate history and the process of chocolate making, followed by the all important tasting session!

Armed with expert tools and decorations, and under the tutelage of our professionals, guests then shaped, dipped and decorated chocolates to their hearts content.

To conclude, prizes were awarded for the best efforts and guests boxed up their handmade personalised treats to take home to share with friends and family, or keep to themselves for moments of indulgence.

Rhythm Rocks

The group walked next door to St Augustine’s Church for a spectacular finale to their event – a group drumming session! Participants developed their sense of rhythm using surdos, agogo bells, shakers and drums and came together to perform a musical extravaganza as impressive as the professionals!

Guests then returned to the Olive Branch restaurant to enjoy a sumptuous 3-course lunch and a relaxed afternoon of wine and good conversation.
