Sustainability At Maximillion Events

March 26, 2024 : News

Sustainability has always been important to Maximillion and we are reviewing our existing policy and liaising closely with our clients and suppliers to play our part in sustainable events.

Running a green event for Maximillion requires collaboration between our clients and suppliers. Without strong commitment from all three parties, delivering a sustainable event will be challenging with any potential benefits compromised. We’re passionate about working together in raising awareness and achieving tangible outcomes of taking action towards preserving our natural environment; promoting a healthy, inclusive society; and supporting a thriving economy.

Maximillion Green Products

We want to help our clients inspire and educate their teams, in an engaging way, so we have further developed more environmentally-themed activities which are ideal to support your away day with strong sustainability awareness messages.

Eden
Unique to Maximillion, Eden tasks teams with building their own sustainable community where the choice to collaborate or compete will determine a successful outcome. As well as working in their individual teams to solve challenges, teams must also think consciously about how they travel and collaborate with different teams and countries and how this might affect the global environment. If their emissions get too high, there will be consequences for all teams and they must tackle these together. This dynamic, yet thought-provoking activity encourages effective teamwork, collaboration, communication and problem solving, whilst thinking and engaging with real-life social and environmental issues.

Environmental Countdown
The Environmental Countdown is a bespoke creation from Maximillion challenging teams to compete against each other in a series of fun gameshow-based rounds. These are a mixture of famous gameshow rounds that you may have seen on the small screen over the past 30 years mixed with rounds focusing on the importance of environmental awareness. 2024 Corporate Sustainability Trends

Trends show that companies are prioritising sustainability as an investment area. Here are some highlights that relate to corporate event considerations:

• Human Resources: The working landscape has changed in recent years and staff engagement and workplace disruption remain key areas of social sustainability.

• Human sustainability and mental health: Team-building and company initiatives to support the collective well-being of staff are an important part of any corporate culture.

• Greater societal impact lies in collaboration: Striving for transparency and action with all business partners is a key focus. Business are increasingly putting their supply chain under the microscope to gain more understanding of and align their sustainability values.

• Natural Environment: Nature getting a seat at the boardroom table – aligned with wider climate concerns businesses have nature preservation in their business plans

• The end of waste?: Companies are reevaluating how they produce and package products, including events and experiences.

• Applying technology to sustainability: 2024 is the start of an eco-digital era ™ – a new and emerging business landscape that is more interconnected, data-driven, accessible, and sustainable. Data analytics, cloud computing, augmented reality, virtual reality and AI are being integrated into the events and conferencing delivery too kit.

• Sustainability becoming a key business goal: With businesses focussing on being more efficient with a shared vision and goal and walking the walk gives sustainability the purpose it deserves so people take it seriously.
