Kudos for Sanlam

Kudos approached Maximillion to enhance an incentive programme for their client, Sanlam, one of South Africa’s leading financial services groups, with an entertaining, morning activity. The activity had to appeal to all guests and offer them the opportunity to explore Edinburgh in a fun, interactive way.

Following a site visit, Sanlam confirmed a Taxi Treasure Hunt, which Maximillion upgraded to a GPS based City Explorer prior to the event.

  • Encourage incentive guests to get to know one another better
  • Offer guests the opportunity to experience Edinburgh in an interesting way
  • Give guest the chance to get to learn more about Scotland
  • Encourage guests to interact with locals

Outline

As guests were staying at two different hotels, Maximillion provided an Event Manager at each one to brief guests and ensure they set off in their cabs safely in their pre-determined teams.

Teams used their Samsung Galaxy Tablets to locate the GPS ‘hotspots’ and navigate around Edinburgh to crack clues, complete timed challenges and earn as many points as possible.

A live scoreboard, penalty points for incorrect answers and exciting timed challenges added a real-time competitive twist to the event, while clues based around Edinburgh’s captivating Old and New Towns, quirky points of interest and intriguing history offered Sanlam’s guests a fascinating insight into Scotland’s capital city.

Who was it for

The event was attended by 190 Sanlam employees and partners.

Feedback

“Just to say a huge thank you for such a well organised event for Sanlam. It was extremely well run and co-ordinated and was definitely one of the highlights of the group’s programme. It is very nice to work with a supplier who you can absolutely trust to do as you ask and ensure things run smoothly, I really could relax once you had taken charge of this part of the event.”
