Providing a real ‘wow factor’ that is rarely found elsewhere in the country, we offer events in both Close House Hotel and Slaley Hall.
The former dates back to 1779; a manor surrounded by a country estate of almost 400 acres, with a host of rooms for people to stay in and a renowned 19-hole golf course to keep them entertained. Found in Northumberland just on the edge of Newcastle upon Tyme, it’s easy to access from the city but far enough away that you can escape the normal bustle of the centre.
Slaley Hall offers an even larger space, with 1000 acres of forests and moorland around the Edwardian mansion. With 13 meeting rooms and 141 bedrooms for people to stay overnight in, Slaley Hall offers another great alternative for events in Newcastle. Located 30 miles from the main Newcastle train station and at just over a 30-minute taxi journey from the airport, this is a great option for both indoor or outdoor events.
