How does a Treasure Hunt work?
Our GPS Treasure hunts involve an onscreen briefing with your group before splitting them into smaller teams and arming them with an iPad featuring their bespoke GPS treasure hunt uploaded onto our award-winning mobile adventures app.
Teams use the iPad to guide them through the city, completing tasks and challenges while exploring the city streets before making their way to the chosen finish location for an exciting finale.
Once everyone has safely arrived, returned their iPads perhaps grabbed a refreshment, we show a highlights reel of the photos and videos the teams have produced during the treasure hunt, which always gets a few laughs! Then it’s onto the prize-giving and announcing the winners and losers of the day. The prizes can be tailored as fun ceremonial medals and wooden spoons or something to provide a bit more incentive, like themed gifts or your own company prizes like a day off or lavish gifts to suit your occasion.

How long do GPS Treasure Hunt activities typically last?
Most GPS Treasure Hunts are designed to last around two to three hours, although some may be shorter or longer depending on your wider itinerary and objectives of the event. Icorporating an Urban Adventures or a Pub Adventure as part of the treasure hunt will lengthen the event. This duration is flexible to allow you to build in additional experiences and ensure you get the perfect balance for your attendees.
What is the ideal group size for GPS Treasure Hunts events?
Our GPS Treasure hunts work for anything from 10 to 1000+ with groups being split into smaller teams of 5 to 10 people. 6 to 8 people would be our recommended team size.
How do we make the treasure hunt bespoke to our itinerary?
While exploring the city on your corporate treasure hunt, Maximilion can tailor special stops and experiences for you to enjoy along the way and include tasks covering your company values or conference themes. The entire look and feel of the app can be designed to feature your company brand and colour schemes.
Special stops can include a huge variety of options for wining, dining and making the most of a day out with a food or drink tasting stop. Or perhaps a themed experience is what you are after – learn a new skill, meet a character or take part in a live activity featured in your chosen location.
