Woo-hoo and ho, ho, ho! Christmas is on it’s merry way!!
We are approximately 3 months away from Christmas Day. Preparations are underway. Excitement is mounting and here at MadMax Aventures HQ, we are set to end a busy year in true festive style!
MadMax Adventures, based on Kirknewton Estate, Edinburgh boasts over 600 acres of outdoor playground and offers a variety of adrenaline packed activities to kick start your Christmas season with a bang, engine rev or an arrow “thwack”.
At MadMax we offer long bow Archery, traditional Clays Shooting, an ext
ensive Quad Bike Safari and the challenge of 4×4 Off Road driving on our specially designed course. Our Archery range boasts adjustable targets meaning that all levels of experience can be taken into consideration and it’s not just a case of picking up the bow and shooting; our experienced Instructors will coach you towards being more accurate and introduce a number of challenges and games to give the session more of an edge. Our Clays range operates automatic traps and we also offer unlimited clays which means our Instructors can demo the flight of the “bird” you are about to target before you pull the trigger.
Our Quad trail has all the inclines, declines, ruts, water splashes and side slopes required to push our fleet of Yamaha Grizzly 125cc bikes to their limits and as well as all the safety equipment you would require we also provide waterproofs in the event of poor weather. This is Scotland and whilst we can guarantee the scenery, we can’t always guarantee the weather! Quad biking in the snow however has to be experienced!
4×4 Off Road driving is another action packed activity available at our MadMax Adventures site. We always use Land Rover Defenders for this experience and we can guarantee you will have a new found respect for these unbelievable vehicles and what they are capable of.
Highland Games is another popular activity and with activities including caber toss, welly wanging, shot putt, haggis hurling, weight for height and tug of war, this is the perfect ice breaker or ultimate finale. Teams or Clans compete against each other with each activity being scored to declare an overall winner. Add-ons available are Whisky tasting, pipes and drums, traditional “heavies” or Tartan to clad your clan-mates in.
