At Maximillion we know a thing or two about the outdoors, particularly outdoor activities. With two purpose built locations and activities ranging from archery to quad biking we may just have what you are seeking for your next Team “away day”.
Our Activity Centres are based at two equally stunning locations; MadMax Adventures, based on Kirknewton Estate, Edinburgh and Turnberry Adventures, based on the grounds of Trump Turnberry, Ayrshire. Both locations boast over 600 and 800 acres of outdoor playground respectively and offer a variety of adrenaline packed activities.
At both MadMax and Turnberry we offer long bow Archery, Clays Shooting and an extensive Quad Bike Safari. Our Archery range boasts adjustable targets meaning that all levels of experience can be taken into consideration and it’s not just a case of picking up the bow and shooting; our experienced Instructors will coach you towards being more accurate and introduce a number of challenges and games to give the session more of an edge. Our Clays ranges at each location boast automatic traps and we also offer unlimited clays for your 25 cartridges, which means our Instructors can demo the flight of the “bird” you are about to target before you pull the trigger.
Each of our Quad trails has all the inclines, declines, ruts, water splashes and side slopes required to push our fleet of Yamaha Grizzly 125cc bikes to their limits and as well as all the safety equipment you would require we also provide waterproofs in the event of poor weather. This is Scotland and whilst we can guarantee the scenery, we can’t always guarantee the weather!
4×4 Off Road driving is another action packed activity available at our MadMax Adventures site, and whilst our course at Turnberry is undergoing a facelift at the moment, we expect to have an all new action packed course available from Spring 2016. We always use Land Rover Defenders for this experience and we can guarantee you will have a new found respect for these unbelievable vehicles and what they are capable of.
Highland Games is another popular activity for Corporate days and with activities including caber toss, welly wanging, shot putt, haggis hurling, weight for height and tug of war, this is the perfect ice breaker or ultimate finale. Teams or Clans compete against each other with each activity being scored to declare an overall winner. Upgrades available for larger groups include Whisky tasting challenge, Pipes and Drums, Falconry, professional heavyweight athletes (“Highland Heavies”) to demo authentic Highland Games events, and Clan theming.
MadMax and Turnberry Adventures are often used by companies who want to improve staff engagement by developing more cohesive teams, rewarding high performance or building relationships with valued customers and suppliers. Corporate away days of 8+ participants can be accommodated as a cost effective solution to what in the past has been an expensive luxury.
