Creative Canvasses at Confex

March 29, 2012 : News

Maximillion was delighted to be asked to provide an interactive activity to highlight “Year of Creative Scotland” on the VisitScotland stand at Confex, held at ExCeL London earlier this month. We jumped at the challenge and designed an activity to showcase Scotland’s innovations, inventions and creativity by inviting visitors to complete small canvasses pre-traced with the outline of a section of a much larger image.

Budding artists were encouraged to use their creative flair to complete their canvas using the materials of their choice from the large selection on offer. Besides the usual paints and pens, glitter, cotton wool, feathers and mini pompoms were all used to great effect.

The canvasses were fixed into position in the giant frame, and each day’s masterpiece was revealed at the evening drinks reception.Images included: the Forth Road Bridge, four images of a pop art Rabbie Burns and four of Scotland’s most famous inventions; the televison, telephone, Dolly the Sheep and golf.

Thanks to everyone who took part and really got into the spirit of the activity, and to those who visited the Maximillion stand. It was fantastic to see you!
