How Silent Disco works
Yes, the Silent Disco is an incredibly fun and unique experience! The concept of dancing and enjoying music while wearing wireless headphones may seem unusual at first, but it creates an interactive and immersive atmosphere. It’s a fantastic way to let loose, dance without inhibition and enjoy a one-of-a-kind party experience that will leave you with incredible memories.
Guest are issued with headphones on arrival. The evening is soundtracked by up to three DJs, with guests changing channels at will. The DJs throw in some party games too!
The Silent Disco works for any number of guests from 25 to 500.
The Silent Disco lasts between one and three hours — depending on your energy levels!
In Silent Disco, the music is transmitted through a radio frequency directly into the headphones worn by the participants. Each participant is provided with a pair of wireless headphones at the beginning of the event, which have built-in receivers that can tune into different channels. Instead of a single DJ playing music for everyone, the Silent Disco usually has multiple DJs playing simultaneously. Each DJ broadcasts their set on a specific channel, which participants can select on their headphones. This unique feature allows people to switch between channels and customise their musical experience. Since the music is played directly into the headphones, the surrounding area remains relatively quiet, making the Silent Disco perfect for venues with noise restrictions.

From the very beginning Maximillion embraced the relaxed feel of this year’s conference and helped bring our vision to life! From a bespoke centre stage to Lego figurines, beanbag seating to branded sticky notes – everything was planned and executed to the highest of standards and myself and the wider team could not be happier! Maximillion have delivered many events for Phoenix Group, they are an extended part of the team and we honestly couldn’t deliver the events like we do without them!

Maximillion ran the Urban Adventure for our teams with the activity run in Edinburgh city centre and the feedback has been nothing but positive. The activity brought teams together from different offices and different business areas and was a great way for everyone to get to know each other in a fun and informal activity.

We held events running over two days. The Maximillion Gameshow which was fun and engaged all who attended the first evening event. During our away day we had Team Tops Trumps in the morning, again this was inclusive for all who were in attendance. Lastly during the afternoon of our away day we took part in Level-up which I have to say was great fun for all involved.

Thank you to Mike, Ross and Sandy from Maximillion for the team building in the afternoon, murder mystery that evening, Belbin Team Roles next morning, a fantastic team building session in the afternoon and, finally, a great barbecue that evening provided by Norton House. Although some of us were a bit slow of the mark the second day, the same positive attitude and enthusiasm from day one prevailed and I think we all got something out of it. It was clear to me that everyone was communicating and working together better by the end of the afternoon.
