Gold of the purest Green

Maximillion has successfully retained the Gold Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) after a rigorous audit recently completed in November.  Maximillion first joined the GTBS at their previous offices in Kirknewton near Edinburgh in 2007 when they were awarded Silver but were reaccredited in 2008 after the move to their current offices in Newbridge when the first Gold Award was achieved. Taking nothing for granted, plenty of hard work was carried out during the months leading up to the audit to make sure the coveted Gold was retained.

The GTBS Grading Assessor Dariush Bazazi commented;  “Maximillion continues with a strong GOLD Green Tourism award. This reflects the company’s overarching commitment to minimising the environmental impact of all its activities.  The company operates out of very efficient offices that are powered by a large extent from renewable sources and the staff encouraged to raise their own awareness through the company’s regular environmental movie nights. Each event managed by the company adheres to Maximillion’s very own green events system (GEM). Clients can select one of three levels to run an event, with every event adhering to a good level of commitment.  We look forward to working with Maximillion into the future.”

The GTBS award is principally a management system for Maximillion’s Edinburgh offices and the running of the business as a whole. Maximillion’s Greener Event Management system, referenced above, compliments GTBS by providing a system by which corporate events can be managed sustainably.  Whether a team building event, a conference or an activity day, GEM provides a flexible framework for sustainable delivery.
