Highland Games season is in full swing here at Maximillion as we are busy organising and entertaining groups with our Highland Games at a variety of locations around Scotland ranging from Dundas Castle outside Edinburgh, The Sma’ Glen in Perthshire to Ackergill Tower in Caithness. This is the ideal summer event (even for a Scottish summer!) and is sure to keep your group engaged and entertained with a variety of fun challenges!

How does it work?
Based on the traditional Highland Games events held throughout Scotland in the summer months, Maximillion gives you the chance to host your very own Highland Games bespoke to your group. We tailor the event to your budget, needs and group size, allowing you to create your very own authentic Scottish experience whilst bringing your whole group together. Our existing Highland Games packages cater to all, with options ranging from Bronze to Platinum, allowing your Games to be as simple or as sophisticated as you like.

“Fun Field” competitive challenges serve as the base of your event as your group is split into teams who are each faced with a variety of traditional challenges that could include Tossing the Caber, Welly Wang, Haggis Hurl or Putting the Stane. Additional activity options could include Whisky Tasting, Falconry and Quack Commandos (Duck Herding) amongst others. A Games Chieftain and our kilted instructors are on hand to manage your event and ensure everyone has a great time, while pipes and drums add to the festive atmosphere!

Maximillion Highland Games are suitable for a variety of group sizes and abilities and can be either run as a competitive event with winning and losing teams, or geared more to the spectator with a mix of participative and spectator activities.

Who’s it for?

This is an event that really appeals to all, and is a particularly great option for corporate or international incentive groups. We work with you to create the best programme of events and activities for your group and chosen venue. You could further personalise the event with the addition of an onsite photo booth, tartan tammy hats for the Clan Chieftains or traditional Scottish theming ensuring extra hilarity on the day.

Add to the atmosphere of the event by staging it in the grounds of a castle or country house, and if you need help with suggesting an appropriate venue, we’ve got that covered too!

Sounds great but if only we could do this all year round…

You can! Maximillion works with a variety of venues whose event spaces allow for many of the activities such as Pipes and Drums, Highland Dancing and Whisky Tasting to take place indoors. This mix of indoor and outdoor is a great option for those who are all too aware of the unreliable Scottish weather, and if it rains we have ponchos on hand!

We also offer a range of fully Indoors Highland Games meaning that weather need not be a worry and you also have the benefit of being able to hold your very own Highland Games all year round! The format of our Indoor Highland Games is very similar with a range of packages and activities on offer including carpet curling.
