We are always delighted to welcome aspiring event professionals to the Maximillion family, and provide them with opportunities to learn and develop.

This month we are excited to introduce you to three new team members: Jen, Mariola and Lara

To get to know them a little better we posed them a few quick but quirky questions. Continue reading to learn their answers.

First up is Jen Rae:

Jen graduated with a Business Degree in 2015, and after spending some time travelling in Australia. She has joined Maximillion for an events management internship to further her business career.

If given the chance, which fictional or non-fictional person would you like to be for a day and why?

“Mary Berry, think of all the cakes you’d get to eat in a day!”

What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten?

“I didn’t actually eat it but I did lick a green ant when I was in Australia!”

Having been with us for a few weeks now, what is your favourite aspect of the role?

“I love the variety of events that you get to work with, there’s never two days the same!”

Would you rather be able to fly or be invisible?

“Fly! I’d love to be able to see everything from so high up! And you’d be able to travel anywhere you wanted to go!”

Would you rather attend school in Hogwarts or live in Narnia?

“Hogwarts, every time.”

Tell us about your party trick?

“I’m not sure I have one… I have double-jointed elbows so I can turn my hands right round – but I was always told if I did it too often they would stay that way!”

Next up is Mariola Szczesna:

Mariola has joined the Maximillion company for an internship, after graduating from International Event and Festival Management studies at Edinburgh Napier University.

If given the chance, which fictional or non-fictional person would you like to be for a day and why?

“I struggle with this one; it is a hard choice. However, I think the most fun it would be to be Bridget Jones for a day. She is fierce and fun at the same time, and I think it would be a great experience to be her for one day.”

What is the strangest food you have eaten?

“I am a fussy eater so if something sound weird or unusual is a big ‘NO’ for me, so there is no strange food in my menu, sorry.”

Tell us about a time you got yourself into trouble as a child?

“It was when I was maybe 10 I supposed to look after my younger cousin. I was helping her to practice cycling by supporting her holding a stick attached to the back of the bike. Somehow I got distracted by a wedding car column passing by so I let her go for a second. She then fell from the bike on the pavement and cut her lip, bleeding heavily. Now she has a scar to remind me of my carelessness, every time I see her.”

Would you rather attend school in Hogwarts or live in Narnia?

“I think both options are tempting. I think I would attend Hogwarts for practical reasons, so I can learn skills that would stay with me for live and I can do magic every day.”

Finally, we welcome Lara Greve:

Lara is joining Maximillion for an internship; taking place alongside her studies in International Tourism Management at West Coast University, Germany.

What will your role at Maximillion be?

“Wildgoose Scotland Events Assistant.”

If given the chance, which fictional or non-fictional person would you like to be for a day and why?

“Angela Merkel, just to get to know how her day looks like.”

What is the strangest food you have eaten?

“Chicken heart, in Brazil.”

Would you rather be able to fly or be invisible?

“Fly, I love travelling and I would like to see the whole world! To see the world from above would be perfect!”

If you were to write an autobiography, what would the title be?

“A trip around the world with Lara!”

Would you rather attend school in Hogwarts or live in Narnia?

“Hogwarts of course, my dream would come true!”
