MadMax Activities open for business
Maximillion has developed a new activity centre on the edge of Edinburgh under the sub brand “MadMax Activities”. Set in the heart of Kirknewton Estate just ten miles west of Edinburgh, MadMax Activities provides low cost, multi-activity day packages for small groups as well as good value single activity sessions for the leisure market.
Maximillion has been running fantastic corporate events at Kirknewton for over 20 years and has created this new facility with independent access and a small reception, or “Hub”, formed from a collection of cabins and set on the edge of a mature wood.
The activity centre uses existing activity zones on the estate and will offer:
The Hub benefits from car parking, changing rooms, reception and a cosy open fire, and as the name suggests is right at the centre of all the action with the activity zones surrounding!
MadMax Activities will provide multi activity day packages to small corporate groups of eight to thirty who don’t need the frills but want plenty of spills (safe ones!). Uniquely, packages are clearly and simply priced by the number of activities regardless of the type of activities, allowing groups to build their own package without confusing pricing.
The activity centre will also be open for business to individuals or “micro” groups on scheduled open days providing a much needed service to neighbouring hotel’s leisure guests for single activity sessions. Again prices are highly competitive with one hour sessions starting from £25.00 inc vat.
Asked about the motivation behind the idea, MD John Strachan stated “The majority of Maximillion’s market has always been in the corporate sector. MadMax will open the door to the consumer market and we hope to learn from this and see how we can grow in this important sector”.
