Maximillion is lucky enough to run corporate team building events all over Scotland, UK and indeed the world. We’ve been to far flung places such as Miami, Bangkok, Singapore and Dubai, but it’s the venues around the UK we know and love best.
This month we look at our top 5 favourite venues in and around Edinburgh for team building events. So, to kick off and in no particular order.
1. Kirknewton Stables
Located just 12 miles from Edinburghcity centre, Maximillion manages this fabulous countryside venue which boasts a walled garden, 600 acres of glorious parkland, a 4 x 4 track, an orienteering course and a “Challenge Zone” with set team tasks. The stable building itself is great for meetings and conferences for up to 60 delgates and team building activities like Kinetic Connections, TeamWorks In and Circus Skills.
The Edinburgh Corn Exchange, a grade A listed building located to the west of the city, is a stylish and versatile venue with real character. The complex offers great space for team building events for groups of all sizes.Maelstrom and Take One, fast paced and dynamic events which require a lot of space, work really well here.
3. Edinburgh International Climbing Arena
Built in a former quarry, the EICA is one of the world’s premier climbing arenas and as such offers lots of adrenaline-filled climbing activities.Just a short distance from Edinburgh, the arena is a cool, contemporary and spectacular venue that lends itself to indoor team building such as Edenand Create and Paint.
Scotland’s recent Six Nations performances aside, Murrayfield Stadium offers lots of indoor and outdoor space for team building activities in Edinburgh city centre. The practice pitches are ideal for It’s A Knockout and School Races with the striking stadium providing suitably sporty inspiration.
Dundas Castle is one of the most historic and beautiful castles in Scotland and is officially recognised as a “5 Star Exclusive Use” venue. With a huge amount of flexible space available at Dundas, Maximillion can provide anything from 4 x 4 driving on the thrilling purpose-built track to a dynamic Rhythm Rocks in the atmospheric Auld Keep. A day of Highland Games with the castle as a magnificent backdrop creates an incredible memory for incentive groups.
