Top out of town Glasgow venue:

The Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort

The Westerwood Hotel & Golf Resort is well located near Stirling, Edinburgh and just 12 miles from Glasgow city centre, making it an ideal conference venue for delegates in central Scotland as well as those flying in to Edinburgh or Glasgow airports. The Carrick Suite was used in 2011 for two large group events and proved to be a really flexible space for interactive team building:

  • itelligence UK – Maelstrom for 108 participants
  • Campbell Dallas – Create & Paint for 150 participants

In the case of each event, the Maximillion event team was ably assisted by the slick and friendly professional service provided by the venue staff.

Unique Glasgow city centre venues:

The Old Sheriff Court

Situated in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, The Old Sheriff Court (incorporating the Scottish Youth Theatre) has something different to offer. It is a light, spacious and contemporary venue with many versatile spaces for small conferences, indoor team building and training interventions. Each space is equipped with state of the art facilities, alongside any allied technical support that you may require for your event, in a cost-effective package backed up by a high level of customer service.

2011 client events delivered in the Blue Room at the Old Sheriff Court included:

The Lighthouse

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

In May 2011 Maximillion worked with the RBS Mentor Business Support team at theGlasgow Royal Concert Hall to facilitate their annual away day in the Buchanan Suite and provide a collaborative experiential team development activity in the Clyde Foyer area of the venue. Recently refurbished, the decor combines with the iconic views down Buchanan Street to make the Clyde Foyer a truly stunning and flexible location in which you can entertain corporate clients, host a private party or provide interactive team building. Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive venue staff and the Buchanan Suite proved to be ideal for the purposes of the facilitated business meeting

Tennent’s Training Academy at the Tennent’s Wellpark Brewery

Hidden behind the gates of the famous Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow’s East End sits theTennent’s Training Academyand The Glasgow Cook School, Scotland’s centre for excellence in entertaining and hospitality training.

Not only does the multi-million pound Academy provide unparalleled training to the next generation of hospitality professionals, it regularly opens its doors to corporate groups looking to use the facility for team building and conferencing.

In October 2011, West of Scotland Housing Association engaged Maximillion for the second year running to provide a team building activity – Maelstrom – during its annual staff conference event.

The venue provided a more than suitable location as WoSHA’s offices are nearby, plus the flexibility and uniqueness of the space was ideal for the size of the group – 60 delegates – and the multi-activity nature of the Maelstrom event.
