Aviagen is a world-leading poultry breeding company dedicated to providing affordable, sustainable, and nutritious protein to communities worldwide.

The UK Flock Awards is Aviagen’s annual celebration event, bringing together award winners from across the industry to recognise their dedication and achievements. The 2025 edition welcomed 45 daytime and 65 evening guests to the elegant Horwood House in Buckinghamshire for a full day of country pursuits, a formal awards ceremony, a gala dinner, and relaxed post-dinner entertainment, followed by overnight accommodation.

The Challenge

Aviagen’s UK Flock Awards is no ordinary event. It is a high-expectation, multi-format celebration that must balance the excitement of outdoor activities with the formality of an awards ceremony and the warmth of a social evening, all delivered seamlessly within a single day. With award winners attending from across the industry, the pressure to deliver something truly special year on year is significant.

For the 2025 edition, Aviagen needed a location that could accommodate both daytime country pursuits and an evening awards ceremony and dinner, along with post-dinner entertainment, all in close proximity. Finding the right fit, both logistically and atmospherically, while maintaining the premium standard guests have come to expect, required careful planning and expert venue knowledge.

Our Solution

Venue Search & Selection

Maximillion produced a curated shortlist of venues within the client’s preferred geographical area, each assessed for its ability to host both the afternoon themed events programme and the evening awards ceremony. Options were presented with on-site and off-site activity configurations, stage set possibilities for the awards, and evening entertainment potential. Maximillion then accompanied Aviagen on site visits to shortlisted venues, helping the client make a fully informed decision before selecting Horwood House and a local activity school as the ideal settings.

Activity Programme & Entertainment

The afternoon was designed to offer a relaxed yet exhilarating country pursuits experience. Guests enjoyed a range of activities, such as archery, crossbow, axe throwing, and rage buggies – a mix of classic and dynamic activities that catered to all abilities and created a buzz of friendly competition ahead of the evening celebrations.

Following the awards ceremony and dinner, the evening entertainment was designed to keep energy levels high without being intrusive, featuring pool tables, dartboards, a Batak challenge, and Neuron Racers, giving guests the freedom to engage at their own pace and continue conversations in a relaxed atmosphere.

End-to-End Event Management

Once the venues were confirmed, Maximillion took full ownership of the event’s delivery. This encompassed all pre-event planning, supplier coordination, venue management, and on-the-day event management, ensuring Aviagen’s team could focus entirely on their guests. From late morning arrival and lunch through to post-dinner entertainment and overnight accommodation, every touchpoint was managed with care and professionalism.

The Result

The 2025 UK Flock Awards were another successful chapter in a long and celebrated partnership. Guests experienced a seamlessly delivered day that moved from exhilarating outdoor activities to a memorable awards ceremony and a warm, social evening; exactly the kind of event Aviagen set out to create.

The longevity of the relationship speaks for itself: Maximillion has now delivered the UK Flock Awards for over 15 years, across a range of UK venues, adapting the format each time while preserving the spirit of celebration that defines the event. The consistent return of many of the same guests year after year is a testament to the experience Maximillion and Aviagen create together, one that industry leaders look forward to and remember long after the evening ends.

The event successfully brought together 65 guests for the evening celebration, delivering a full programme from country pursuits to post-dinner entertainment all under one roof at Horwood House, with overnight accommodation rounding off a truly special occasion.
